I'm not good at this game, and I play it on the easy mode. Being a creative person, I love the ultra-modern graphics and sound that go along with the gameplay. The object of the game is to create a cube of four small blocks of the same color. Every once in awhile, there will be an opportunity to create a chain effect, eliminating several adjacent like-color blocks. Like Tetris, Lumines II is easy at the beginning, but as things continue, you feel somewhat suffocated by the rise of the cubic space junk. When a block reaches the top of the playing area, it's game over. This is really a game for those willing to dedicate a lot of time to even advance significantly through the beginner's level of difficulty.
